How it works

Brief to font files, in one file.

  1. 01

    Start from a great base.

Describe the brand and generate a direction from a professionally drawn design space, import a TTF, OTF or Glyphs file, or open a blank family and draw. Every glyph lands in the same file.

  2. 02

    Draw what only you would.

A pen tool that adds points exactly on the curve, smooth and corner nodes with mirrored handles, metric guides, full undo, and every change saved with its history.

  3. 03

    Kern until it sits.

Click the gap between two letters and nudge it while real words re-set around your change. Classes as well as pairs — and the kerning ships inside the files as real GPOS.

  4. 04

    Ship it everywhere.

Compiled server-side into TTF, OTF and WOFF2 by the toolchain behind the world's largest font library, checked by the sanitizer browsers run, with a @font-face kit and install guides for Figma, Webflow, Framer and your own site.

A typeface is the one part of a brand nobody else can rent. Everything you are reading is set in ours — Aperture, a file in this product like any of yours.

The files

Three kinds of file. One pipeline.

A Direction to find the idea, a Font to draw it, a Specimen to show it. The same outlines carry from the first preview to the export.

The editor

A real editor. Nothing to install.

Bezier points and handles, metric guides and an advance you can trust: the tools a type designer expects, in a browser tab — with the text you care about re-setting live as you draw.

A traditional custom typeface is five figures and a few months. This is $20 and an afternoon, and you own the files either way.

Questions

Straight answers.

Who owns the fonts I make?
You do, fully. Your sources and exports are yours; we never claim rights over your work, and you can take everything with you at any time.
What can I import and export?
Import TTF, OTF, and single-file Glyphs sources. Export compiled TTF, OTF, and WOFF2 with a ready-to-paste @font-face kit.
Does kerning really make it into the files?
Yes. Exports are compiled server-side with the same toolchain used for major font libraries, and your pairs ship as real GPOS kerning. Every binary is validated before you download it.
What about AI?
Assistance is coming: generated starting points and help with the tedious parts — completing character sets, tuning spacing. You stay the designer; nothing replaces your judgment.
